So they didn't close your account because you used an anonymiser, but closed it because you logged in under a second account? Please clarify as your thread title seems very misleading and could be potentially alarming to many.

no, I think he means they closed it because he logged in under a different IP which the anonymiser caused, not specifically because he was using the anonymizer.? (not sure)

I have heard that Neteller does this, and when i travel, I am always very careful not to log into my Neteller account, because I dont want them to freeze it for any reason.

I have 3 business locations, plus home network. I've never had any problems logging into Neteller from multiple IP addresses. Maybe they can't verify his IP address, so that's when they lock you out.

I agree, please specify, with details!

I've logged in from an anonymous IP without any problems. Have logged in while traveling, etc. Never any problems. I've been a customer a while though.

Are you a new customer? Did you make abnormally high deposits/withdraws recently?

Could be another red flag in combination with the anonymizer.

Xpanda sorry yes the reason was that i logged in under a different ip and that what the anonymizer does as it direct you thru is servers.but for anyone using any download such as anonymizer or darkfaq etc, log in on your real ip, as it will save you some trouble setting things up again...ck

Edited thread title to limit overreaction, especially in light of today's news.

I know with Neteller, if you log on from outside your home country - the account will get frozen. Maybe with this anonymiser, they are unable to tell where you are so by default it will freeze the account.

I think the problem is that Neteller, does not allow you to log in from a different countries IP address without head aches....

The anonymiser makes it look like he is logging in from china one day and australia the next.

different IP's are okay, logging in from different countries (anonymiser) is not.

It has been reported many times before that accounts have been frozen when you try to log in from another country.

Exactly what I have been trying to say.

Yes, its quite bizarre. I can fly over 3000 miles to Halifax and login from my hotel OK, but drive 35 miles south and my hotel login will kill my account. :suomi:
